La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain Review
Description
We would not normally go for La Petite Robe Noire, but for days when we want to keep it simple and young, then we might go for a spritz. The opening is unique compared to others with cherry accords themselves, and then progresses into sweet but also dark. Performance is great, although sillage is a shadow of its former self by the drydown. This observation may not be shared by everyone though, who would find the scent too youthful beyond the bottle.

Guerlain’s releases of La Petite Robe Noire can be confusing, but this one we’re tackling was released in 2012. Formulated by Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser, it is said to have been inspired by the little black dress, a wardrobe staple. The notes for the fragrance include black cherry, red berries, bergamot, Bulgarian rose, licorice, almond, Turkish rose, smoked black tea, patchouli, aniseed, iris, tonka bean and vanilla.
