Chanel Beauty Les Beiges Eau de Teint Water-Fresh Tint Review
Product Description
For a good number of the products of Chanel Beauty, subtle, classical beauty is the name of the game. The same most definitely holds true for the Les Beiges Eau de Teint Water-Fresh Tint. This product is not the most pigmented out there, and it definitely doesn’t provide the most coverage. But it manages to make the skin look effortlessly beautiful with a little glowiness on top. We think this is the kind of product to consider when you’re building a more bare-faced look for when you’re on the go.

If you’ve come the Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint looking for a product that’ll cover up all the worst spots and blemishes on your face, you’ve come to the wrong place. As the name implies, this product by Chanel Beauty is not your usual foundation—but neither is it a BB cream, a CC cream, nor a tinted moisturizer. The formula is an almost gel-like suspension with evenly-distributed “micro-droplets” that deliver the color evenly to the face. This particular aspect of the formula is what we found ourselves most intrigued by going into this review.

This is not a full-coverage complexion product, the name says that much. Rather, the color is lightly applied by the product’s patented micro-droplets to get some pleasant coverage. This is definitely not the kind of base complexion product you use for a full-glam look. The color is lovely, but very sparse, and it does just enough to gently “reset” the color of the face without looking too much like makeup. Besides creating a more even skin tone, the product also delivers a very light-handed blurring effect to minimize the appearance of pores on the skin. Finally, the finish is dewy and quite luminous, creating a glow that’s both sheer and healthy.

Formula-wise, though, we were a little disappointed by how much product it took to create decent coverage. We get that this is basically supposed to be a sheer product, but for something that is also marketed as almost foundation, it’s a little frustrating to have to use two (even three) full pumps just to get the product looking alive. Just as frustrating is the possibility of the product exacerbating oil. We get that it’s not one of the product’s primary priorities, but a little bit of that would be so nice because dewy is great and all, but after a few hours, it can look quite messy on certain skin tones.

We definitely were not blown away by this product. For all its strong suits, as well as an intriguing formula (on paper), there are many people for whom we feel this product wouldn’t be able to do much. But if you are the kind of person who needs something very light for their routine, this is definitely a product to put into consideration.

SUITABLE FOR: Normal to dry skin.
