Inspired by their own brand’s aesthetic, the Christian Louboutin Œil Vinyle Luminous Ink Liner comes in a gorgeous package that evokes the fashion house’s signature sharp designs. Unfortunately, the beauty of the packaging is really not enough to justify paying $75.00 on a small tube of liquid eyeliner. Truthfully, the product, once applied to the eye, looks fantastic, with fantastic color payoff. Once it dries down, it’s also very much resistant to smudging or transferring, so you shouldn’t have a problem with that. But considering the price point this product comes at, the formula should be absolutely perfect, but it’s just not. There are sections of the eyeliner application when it definitely has a tendency to look patchy, streaky, or generally inconsistent. The built-in applicator is also not particularly great. Overall, this is not really the wisest investment for an everyday eyeliner unless you have the money to burn, and just want your hands on that beautiful, beautiful packaging.

Christian Louboutin’s Œil Vinyle Luminous Ink Liner is an absolutely stunning product to look at, but its formula just doesn’t deliver as much as its $75.00 price tag might suggest, which means you’re basically paying for the package and the name of the brand. While the performance of this product does have specific bright spots, overall, if you’re looking for a handy everyday eyeliner, this just isn’t it. If you have the cash to burn, and really just have the urge to have this product in your hands (more as a collector) then go ahead, but otherwise, it’s not a great investment.
