Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette Review

February 2021 (WHAT'S NEW?)

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette Review
Product Description
As the name of this product implies, Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette serves warmth, even fire, and that shows in the palette’s color story. The color story of the palette is very cohesive, and all of it goes well with the product’s theme. The palette also comes with a double-ended brush that helps with both blending and working in the creases. Once applied to the eyelids, one can get very good pigmentation out of the product. It’s a shame then that many of the shades in the middle of the palette look too similar to each other on the skin, despite differences in color and even finish in the pan. Also, the shadows themselves are a little more difficult to blend than the usual Urban Decay eyeshadows, so expect to put in a little more work. Finally, the general problem with this palette is that it lacks versatility. Because so many of the middle shades look so alike, and the theme of the palette is so specific, there’ll be a little trouble producing varied looks out of just this one palette, so it doesn’t quite stand on its own. Otherwise, if these are colors you’re looking for, it may be worth giving this eyeshadow palette a shot.

The shades of Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette look beautiful in the pan, and the color story of the entire palette is cohesive. Unfortunately, because of the extreme specificity of the theme, the shades tend to look a little samey once applied, which means a lack of versatility in the looks you can create with just this one palette. On top of that, there’s a peculiar amount difficulty in blending these particular eyeshadows, so these may be a little hard to use. Overall, this is an eyeshadow palette to purchase if your heart is set on this particular theme and color story, and aren’t looking to create too many new looks.

SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.
