Make Up Forever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner Review

These days, the market for eyeliners is particularly broad. There are pencils, gel liners, liquid liners—all sorts of eyeliners—so selecting one can be a chore. Of course, one would expect a product from Make Up Forever to be of the highest calibre, and usually, you wouldn’t be wrong, but the Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner is an exception to the case. A pencil liner would be reasonable at this price point if it actually was able to do the trick—and to some extent, it does perform. But this particular formulation has too much working against it to make it particularly reliable as a product. Dragging, flaking, and smudging are all no-no’s when it comes to eyeliner, and yet this one checks all the boxes. If it weren’t for this product’s wide (and lovely) color range, its good waterproofing (a trait of Make Up Forever’s Aqua line), and longevity, this product would be a big, big dud. But even so, as it stands, so many of the product’s competitors can do the same thing without the negatives (or at least a lesser magnitude).
