Tarte Cosmetics’ Clay Pot Waterproof Shadow Liner can be magic in a tiny pot—provided you know how to use it right. Unlike many eyeliners out there in pencil or pen-type applicators, this product comes in a tiny pot to dip into for precision application. This product’s biggest downside is probably that it’s not particularly beginner-friendly. Learning how to get the right amount of product onto a (separate) applicator, and finding the right angle at which to apply the product can be an uphill climb in that there’s quite a bit of a learning curve to overcome. But once you learn to wield this product properly, the results can be stunning. The color payoff is great, and using a more precise tool can give the look you’re going for more “oomph,” especially if you’re trying to go for, say, a very precise winged liner. On top of that, this product can also last you quite a long period of time, unlike pen-type liquid liners that tend to dry out after a little while of use. Overall, this is a quality product to keep around for people who want ultra-precise eyeliner looks as part of their beauty routine.
