Tarte Cosmetics’ Shape Tape Contour Concealer is a reliable “ride-or-die,” if there ever was one to beat. Upon application, the wearer would experience the rich creaminess of the famed Shape Tape formula making for a smooth, easy, blendable application. Despite the creaminess however, the product dries down into a comfortable, skin-like matte. Depending on how many shades one decides to invest in, this product can be used not only as a brightening or spot-correcting concealer, but also as a contouring product, provided you have the correct shade. The main downside is this product isn’t generally good for more bare makeup looks, and especially not on bare skin, as the dry down may accentuate what primers and foundations generally cover up, and it does need to be layered with a setting powder to get the full effect. All in all, this product is a fantastic addition to anyone’s makeup routine because of its general ease and reliability.
