Upon first glance, it was clear to us which place in the whole wide world informed Galvan’s latest line: Bali. This famous vacation hotspot is known, not only for its luxuriously peaceful ambiance and exotic paradises but also with instilling a sense of serenity within those lucky enough to experience it. And it’s the same sense of serenity that we felt seeing this Fall 2019 offering. Firstly, the silks. Even from just perusing the lookbook, we already felt the softness and finesse of that toned-down tangerine set of separates and that sleek palm-green floor-length slip. They’re simple but totally refined! A pleasant surprise this season was the suiting too. That navy pantsuit will work wonders for a day to night kind of lifestyle, especially if you’re an urban sophisticate. That neon lime-green ensemble of a corset and pants, on the other hand, holds the same structure for those who may want to go with a strong yet sexy look for an elegant affair. In our opinion, the best part about this whole line is the subtlety of it all. The simplistic approach of promoting serenity through silky fabrications, the slight nudge to youth by ways of neon colors, and the sly highlighting of power through the tailoring. Women, above all else, love subtlety, and come fall, they’ll get their fair share from Galvan!
