What Emily Current and Meritt Elliott offered this season was almost offensive! Basic floral frocks, standard hoodies, ordinary tracksuits—that sort of things. And they have the audacity to claim them as fashion? Let us assure you that they were not! There’s nothing fashionable about their astoundingly pedestrian Fall 2019 collection for The Great. A bit more sparkle or better textiles would have pushed this lot nearer to it, but it didn’t. There was absolutely nothing particularly noteworthy about this line. The denim pieces were basic, the knitwear was normal, and even the slight tinges of pajama dresses weren’t all that impressive. We can’t even compare them to high-street labels because these clothes look cheaper than those lots! That’s how excruciatingly simple it all was!
