Everybody loves the color red. It is, after all, the color of love and passion. But having an entire collection in the same hue—even with different tones of it—can get a tad overwhelming. This is why we’re not 100% sold with Natalie Ratabesi‘s Fall 2019 collection for her TRE line. It was just a whole lot of red, to the point that looking at any other color after seeing the offering might make you think you were color blind! But beyond this oversaturated hue, there were some questionable qualities as well, even despite the fine textiles. The silk taffeta suit in look #4 looked like it needed some serious steaming, as did the orange coat thing from look #2. Not only did the leather and silk menswear ensemble seem ill-fitting, but we could also see the puckering at the seams of the trousers. Still, a lot of the pieces were undeniably chic. That red dress paired with latex thigh-high boots was such a powerful look! As was the long-sleeved bodysuit styled with gold chains! Had Ratabesi explored different colors and focused more on the quality, this would have been a better outing!
