Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Stain Review

Liquid lipstick formulas can be difficult to pin down, especially with so many variations on the market nowadays. In this spirit, Yves Saint Laurent has created their own take on liquid lipsticks in the Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Stain. The gold and frosted glass packaging of the product is absolutely striking and screams luxury. At first glance, the applicator might seem like your usual liquid lipstick applicator, but the doe foot shape with a narrower slanted tip makes getting into tough spots so much easier. The pigmentation of this product is brilliant and vivid, and even one swipe brings the color you need out of the lipstick. But this product’s crowning glory is its very formula. Unlike far, far too many liquid lipsticks out there that focus on drying out to get some grip on the lips, this one focuses on a not-quite-matte and not-quite-glossy finish to get the lipstick feeling like a second skin. Of course, despite all the benefits of this lipstick, we’d be remiss not to talk about the $38.00 price tag, but for a lipstick this great, we feel like if you can make room for the investment, you should definitely go out and try this one.
