Tom Ford Beauty’s Ultra Shine Lip Color is the definition of beauty, both inside and out. Embodying the spirit of the brand with a package that’s reminiscent of the clean aesthetic of Tom Ford, the product is elegance embodied.
The formula of the lipstick is also quite impressive. One swipe of this product is instantaneous opacity, not needing multiple layers to build the effect of the product. The formula is also capable of softening the lips, making them look and feel moisturized, as opposed to other lipsticks which require a layer of lip balm to even look half as good.
The main problem with this formula is that the wear time is comparatively worse than other lipsticks within the same price range. This probably has something to do with how oily and slick this tends to make lips feel upon application, which isn’t always a bad thing, but in this case, this quality is more liability than anything.
So overall, what do we think? Well, despite the issues that the lipstick face with regards to its formulas, it’s still a fantastic formula. In this case, it just so happens that the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. At $55.00, of course it’s very expensive for a bullet-type lipstick (or any lipstick for that matter), but if you’re looking for a lipstick to invest in, this is the right product.
