If you think athleisure is still the name of the game, you’re sadly mistaken. Though it’s still somewhat of a lucrative venture, it doesn’t hold the same finesse as it did a few years back. Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, on the other hand, are trying to bring them back with their Fall 2019 collection. In leopard print jackets or tweed-like tracksuits, they’re reinforcing the style to become on-trend again come fall. But their attempts are sadly too half-assed. They could have come up with a more compelling case of athleisure from Pam & Gela had they not resorted to all sorts of awful gimmicks. Furry camouflage coats and leopard-print biker shorts were the heights of tackiness we’ve seen this season. Not to mention the rather lazy-looking separates that did nothing to elevate the looks. If Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor want to make athleisure great again, they’ll need to do a lot better next season!
