Marysia Reeves’ brand is a well-known swimwear label that gives women of all sizes flattering pieces to wear on the beach. It’s the foundation of her company, especially the iconic scallop-edged swimsuits that are both feminine and flattering. However, as she celebrates a decade in the industry, she’s transforming her label from that of a swimwear line to a full-blown ready-to-wear brand, starting with Resort 2019. This season, she’s giving women clothing options veering away from the seaside and more into the urban jungle. Babydoll and maxi dresses, monochrome separates, and a few 40s-esque pieces had the elegance and chicness of a city sophisticate. Pastels reigned supreme in this collection as well, with delicate shades of peach, pink, and baby blue popping up against a palette of neutrals. But paired with her well-loved swimwear, of which there were still plenty in this offering, these clothes looked fitting for the beach as they do against a more industrial landscape.
