It’s a good thing Dice Kayek‘s latest collection is for Fall as it’s perfect for Halloween. Don’t misunderstand us—we’re not saying that their Fall 2019 line is horrific, but there is a haunting beauty about it that’s a little too old-school for us. Most, if not all of the silhouettes and shapes here were classic, some to a degree that they almost look like costumes for a period film. And while we’re all for looking to the past for inspiration, we’re not too keen on delving too deep that they no longer look modern. To make matters worse, some coats and suits even looked frumpy on the stick-thin model on the lookbook! What more with the shapelier women who’ll actually buy these clothes? Still, we can’t deny Ece Ege‘s feminine charms with this line. Amidst somber tones of grey and black, the bubblegum-pink frocks were the most desireable-looking and contemporary. Come fall, they’ll certainly be sported by the brand’s younger clientele, whether or not they’ll be going to a Halloween party in them is another story!
