No matter how many decades have passed since it was first published, “The Great Gatsby” continues to influence various artistic fields, from film to fashion. For spring 2019, the novel and its eponymous protagonist inspired Brunello Cucinelli for his menswear collection. However, these clothes look far from the typical period film costumes and feel a lot more contemporary. Firstly, there was a touch of athleisure—a tick upon one of today’s hottest trends.
