Just because Bally is more of an accessories brand, doesn’t mean they can just phone it in with their ready-to-wear! Being a luxury fashion brand, high quality and creativity are expected of them, yet in their Fall 2019 collection, only the former was incorporated. That latter was severely absent to an almost appalling degree. Question: how creative is it for a fall/winter line to be inspired by the Swiss Alps, especially coming from a Switzerland-born label? The answer, unfortunately, is no. We don’t want to label Bally as basic, but we couldn’t help it after seeing their latest seasonal offering. Granted these are impeccable pieces made with quality construction and luscious fabrications, but high fashion demands more than those. We wanted to see sleeker cuts, newer and better shapes, and possibly more exotic textiles. What we got, unfortunately, were more of the same. And if we’re already bored at first glance, what more the customers? Here’s to hoping Bally gets a little more creative in the coming seasons!
