Benefit Cosmetics’ Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain is one of the brand’s oldest products, and yet, it’s survived the supreme test of time, and has continued to eclipse many of its would-be competitors in terms of popularity and quality.
The Benetint only comes in one shade, but this rosy stain is so easy to match on pretty much anyone that it’d be more surprising to find someone whose skin tone wouldn’t be flattered by this seemingly simple product. It’s very easy to apply with the nail polish-esque applicator that gives you just the right amount of product in one dab or swipe—the rest you can do with a light touch of your fingers. As most lip tints and stains claim to be, this does look very natural when you apply it because it’s just so light, making it perfect for “no makeup makeup” days. Finally, the wear time on this product is insanely good, making it so that you won’t need to constantly reapply throughout the day.
Perhaps the only real flaw of this product is its packaging. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but for the amount of product you get (enough to last a year or so), that’s not an issue. The packaging, on the other hand, is a little precarious because it’s not completely resistant to spillage if you keep it inside your purse or makeup kit.
All-in-all, The Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain is just pretty hard to beat. It has everything you could possibly need from this kind of product, with only minor drawbacks, really.
