For the longest time, the Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer has been one of those products that consistently ruled the beauty world in sales and influence—a gold standard for bronzers, as it were. Its smooth yet un-muddy finish, flattering color, and easy portability made it a treasure in makeup kits around the world. But over the years, people have also been able to identify its major weaknesses: its high price point (especially after Benefit cut the amount of content per package while retaining the price), its limited use (the classic Hoola is most suited for Light-Medium-skinned folks), and its clunky, cheap, wasteful packaging. While at the time of this writing, Benefit has only been able to rectify one of these issues (by expanding the shade range), the future is still bright for the Hoola Matte Bronzer, and it remains a great makeup staple, and is loved by many.

Many makeup enthusiasts have proclaimed this product a “ride-or-die” for the exact reason that it can basically be used anywhere, at any time, for any occasion. The time since its release has been good to this product, gaining it plenty of love despite its issues.
