Cocktail dresses are simply a must for any womenswear brand. A well-cut shift or a nice bustier dress can rake in thousands of young women ready with their bank accounts. This traditional market goes way back to the bygone eras of Lanvin and Chanel, and are reinvigorated today by the likes of Beaufille. In their resort 2019 collection, the sister-run label put forth new dimensions to cocktail dressing that’s all about power rather than seduction. The richness of the fabrications, massive attention to detail, and the experimentation of new silhouettes show that any woman can venture out into new wardrobe territory just to find the right party dress.
