Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Review
Product Description
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette has gotten a lot of attention around the internet, and for good reason. It's just an all-around fantastic eyeshadow palette. Look-wise, you get a lot of interesting shades to play with despite this being a nude palette, and you get different finishes as well, so there's more variety in the looks you make. Most of the issues with this palette are minor, including glitter fallout from some of the shades, and some slight difficult with blendability in some of the others, but both can be resolved with some finessing on the wearer's end.

The Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills is the brand’s attempt at a warm nude palette, but with colors not normally represented in other similar palettes. The palette gained popularity on the internet for its interesting color selection, and we’ve got to say: this product knows what it wants to do, and does so with aplomb to spare.

The color story of the palette is so well thought-out, and brings together classic, versatile colors with more unique warm tones that can’t normally be spotted on a nude palette like deeper reds or more intense oranges. The variety of finishes as well is a big boon for versatility and diversity in this palette. In concert, these qualities allow the wearer to create a host of looks that other eyeshadow palettes can’t provide. The formulas are also very easy to apply, picking up from the pan quite quickly while still being extremely pigmented once swatched or applied to the eyelids.

Probably its biggest flaw would be that you may experience some fallout with some of the more shimmery shades. It’s definitely not as intense as with other shiny eyeshadows, but after application, you’d be better off checking the rest of your face, and sweeping some of the excess glitter off. Finally, in terms of blendability, some of the shades are noticeably harder to blend than others. Not incredibly so, and nothing that some finessing won’t fix, but it’s still something to consider.

So do we think this palette is worth all the hype from the internet? Absolutely. It absolutely is an incredible palette that you can get so much mileage out of, whether for everyday looks, or more glamorous nights out.

SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.
