Created to complement the iconic Rouge Dior lipstick from the House of Christian Dior, the Rouge Blush is a lovely new blush that’s fun to experiment with.
The Rouge Blush offers a good range of colors—mostly pinky and peachier shades, but a few surprises as well—that are pretty eye-catching, and serve many different skin tones. The key to this blush is the blendability factor, which it has in spades, so you can apply without having to worry about having harsh lines in your look. You also get good mileage out of this blush, which is great for long work days.
But then again, $44.00 is a lot to be paying for a simple pan of blush. And the main issue of the formula is that even if it does present beautifully, the color just doesn’t build as much as other blushes would, so you only get light coverage, even with the more intense colors on the range. On top of that, the powder pressing is a little soft, so especially with the free brush included in the packaging, the powder tends to get a little bit messy, and we all know how undesirable that is.
Overall, we can recommend this blush. While to us, the $44.00 price point is a little excessive, it’s a nice little “treat yourself” gift if you’re looking for a beautiful luxury blush for your collection.
SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.
