The beauty that comes with the quality, style and design of vintage pieces is truly breath-taking, especially for collectors and vintage-lovers. The captivating attributes of such pieces carry history and fashion depth, as well as rare complications and movements. And while vintage pieces are highly sought, their price and maintenance can be too much for the humble budget of a common watch-lover. Good thing Seiko found a way to capture what we love about vintage timepieces and mix them with modern watchmaking techniques and style to create current watches that pays homage to the pieces of the past. One series that emerged from this effort is the Seiko Recraft.

Pros
First and foremost, with the Seiko Recraft Series SSC667 and SSC669, you’ll have the beauty of a vintage piece with the price that your pocket will love. Despite being affordable, these watches have a trendy and smart design that the dial was made to allow sunlight to pass through and reach the photovoltaic cell below to keep the battery charged. Another great quality of these timepieces is their legibility, added to the cool Nylon NATO straps that bring color to the watch. For its price, the quality of the build and the added details into the dial of this timepiece are surely remarkable.
Cons
The shorter-than-usual hands of these watches may be okay, yet for the keen eye, it may be quite an issue. While it is understandable that these watches don’t have a sapphire bevel because of their price, it would have been nicer to have that more durable and more sleek-looking front for a bit of additional price.
