If you had a real-life princess open your runway show, then you’ll really have to follow it up with a great collection. Fortunately, that’s what Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts did for their Spring 2019 show in Copenhagen’s Østerbro Stadium. The first look, Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece in an all-white fur ensemble that matched her regality and elegance. But then, as the lights lit up and the second model walked on the runway, it looked completely different. Inspired by the Olympics, a multi-colored celebration of sports and womanhood was displayed on that runway. Bodysuits inspired by ski outfits and a whole lot of puffers evoked an athletic spirits that looked chic and powerful. The use of print and color here was also quite fearless, as the designer mixed and matched them together to create unique designs that one would never have imagined would go together. Yet still, with all this homage to sport, a few business-ready looks were there to keep the modern working woman happily dressed up for this season. Just that final white fur coat alone was to-die-for and would certainly make an impact in any business meeting!
