A common misconception in fashion is that resort is an exclusively feminine market. But as Todd Snyder proved with his Spring 2019 menswear collection, men need some leisure clothes for vacationing as well. This season, he went a bit retro with the pieces, offering short-sleeved polo shirts, tie-dye denim, and some high-waisted trousers. Although these are usually codes for signature “ugly dad style,” there were made with such contemporary coolness that they looked practically covetable. Some of the matchings separate, in particular, were eye-catching and will look great on both a 20-something-year-old stud and a 50+ gent. The picture-printed and logo t-shirts are also sure to bring the streetwear crowd into a frenzy. And one of the hottest accessories of the season, the bucket hat, was all a-plenty on this runway that is sure to sell like hotcakes. Spring/summer is all about having fun, and Todd Snyder seemed to really embrace this idea this season.
