As a product, the main claim to fame of Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara is that it makes your lashes, well, big, and that it does—and quite well. With the help of a great, unique spoolie applicator, this product goes a long way in volumizing and separating lashes, to give you those full lashes you want for your look. As an added bonus, it also helps to retain the curling of your eyelashes (but doesn’t enhance it). On the other hand, if you’re the type to apply multiple coats of mascara on to your lashes, you might need to rethink your routine with this particular mascara because the more you apply, the easier it is for lashes to end up looking clumpy. Additionally, despite its volumizing and separating, it lacks in the lengthening department, if that’s what you’re looking for from your mascara. At the end of the day, despite its flaws, it’s still a great product to have on hand if you’re going for a more dramatic look for your eyelashes.

Despite a formula that clumps with multiple coats, and a lack of discernible lengthening, this product still does get it right in the volumizing and separating departments, and as long as you know what you’re in for with this mascara, you’re going to have a great time using it.
