There are a number of ways on how to approach the white shirt, but designer Ji Oh may have discovered a few more when constructing her Fall 2019 Collection. The fashion staple has been part of her signature pieces since she launched her own label back in 2014, but this season, she reinvented it in totally new ways. In what she wants to introduce as the “fucked-up school uniform,” Oh deconstructed the white shirt and formed new and groundbreaking pieces with it. Having the opening diagonal instead of straight at the front, trading in the sleeve for black suede, and printing a naked torso on the front—these avant-garde reimaginings are new bound to make waves in the streetwear market. That and the fact that Ji Oh finally presented her first menswear collection. However, she does insist that all pieces are unisex and that any gender can sport any piece and interpret them their own ways. Such is the street-style brilliance of Ji Oh!
