For all the highs that Hourglass Cosmetics hits within its selection of products, there are definitely quite a few duds in there as well. Being that Hourglass is a luxury brand with luxury brand prices, there’s a certain expectation of quality and excellence. But alas, the Ambient® Lighting Blush ends up being a mediocre product. While it’s not absolutely awful by any means—the application of this product brings some extra luster to the skin for a nourished look—weak color payoff and mediocre wear time only serve to drag down the product. At a staggering $40.00 for one pan of product, these qualities are pretty much dealbreakers, and can be enough to drive even the most adventurous buyer away. Overall, there just isn’t much to justify paying for a not-quite-there blush product at luxury item price.
