The luxury market is never without any new ideas, and for Fall 2019, Deveaux has a few tricks up their sleeves! Photographer-turned-designer Tommy Ton and his partner Andrea Tsao put forth new menswear pieces that are bound to become staples, one of which is a wrap-coat for men. The idea of wrap anything used to be an exclusively feminine sensibility, but as Ton and Tsao proved in their latest line, men can also benefit from such elegant ease. Whether in classic camel charcoal wool, their own versions of the wrap-coats are as masculine as they are gentle. Textures were also a big talking point for the brand this season, broadening their choices to touch on more plush territories. Teddy bear faux fur, to be exact, are what was cut into well-fitted jackets that also added warmth but retained a sense of power. And with the duo’s exceptionally precise tailoring, such textures appeared strong while still feeling soft. If there was still any doubt about the luxuriousness of this label, this refined offering should prove otherwise!
