Craig Green imagined muse this season as a mand made out of glass. “That idea doesn’t have to mean fragility. It can also mean strength.” he insisted. An avant-garde force in the menswear game today, Green knows how to turn an eerie idea he gets in his head into a tangible collection of clothes (sometimes wearable, sometimes not). So what’s going on with Green’s glass man for Fall 2019? He seems to be a nomad within the apocalypse, relying upon his transparent strength as his shelter. The show began with a lot of tailoring with hints of deconstruction. Regarding the latter, strips of fabric and harnesses cloaked the male torso in a warrior-like style that was both strong yet vulnerable. The transparency, on the other hand, eventually came in the plastic-induced looks in vivid colors. Semi-sheer beings in hot pink, lemon yellow, ocean teal, red-orange, and cobalt blue blazed onto the runway with all their confident vibrancy. A man’s strength is currently being questioned in society today, and Green just put forth his own argument that’s as compelling as his shows are beautiful!
