For Fall 2019, Woolrich continues to prove why they’re still one of the premier winter-wear labels in the industry today. Designed by newly-appointed creative director Andrea Cane, the new line emphasized the basics of winter-wear and how it can prove to still be popular in this day and age. Unfortunately, however, the effort was slightly haphazard. Apart from a chic cobalt-blue fur-trimmed puffer coat with matching-hued trousers, there was little to now creative design behind each look. There are still desirable pieces in the mix, particularly the puffer items that, while a bit too bulky at times, were still cool and streetwise. Had they been styled with less basic garments, they would have stood out and further solidified Woolrich’s standing in the fashion world. Alas, the styling was overall boring, and although the clothes are exceptionally well-made, they remain just that: clothes.
