Chitose Abe displayed diversity onto her Fall 2019 Menswear Show in Paris Men’s Fashion Week. But the diversity here wasn’t just of the race of the models she used, but also of the different tastes that have since become the bread and butter of her fashion brand, Sacai. From space-age nomads to animal print-sporting superstars, her seasonal line provided layers upon layers of styles and personalities. And while she presented her Pre-Fall 2019 collection with her menswear main line, both commanded attention in equal measure, But the latter, in particular, was vastly interesting. The looks had a harmony to them that was both poetic and cohesive, yet everything, even including the womenswear, was electric. It was a mishmash of ideas that touched upon vintage styles and potential futuristic fashions. And when taken apart, this was also a covetable selection of the finest outerwear out there. The dove grey puffer that opened the menswear part of the show looked and felt like a million bucks, while the leopard print jacket with multi-color packets was all kinds of exuberant glamour! Come fall, a lot of men (and possibly women too) will be sporting them on the street!
