It’s rare to use the word ‘pretty’ in describing menswear, but there’s no other word that can best describe Nanushka‘s Fall 2019 menswear collection. There was a gentle prettiness in the pieces that weren’t exactly feminine, per se, but such clothes were simple, calm, and sincerely beautiful. Sandra Sandor has long been going the genderless route for her fashion brand, and in her debut menswear offering, she pulled it off with sensational ease. She’s focusing on simplicity more than anything else, and how minimally-designed pieces can work for both men and women. Drawstring powder pink tracksuit pants, for instance, was constructed for the male form but was so light, soft, and airy that they’d work in any woman’s wardrobe as well. So will the rosy double-breasted suit that, while sharply tailored, would look immaculate on either gender. The muted tones of the palette only added to the calmness and serene vibe the line evoked, and when fashion becomes too much at times for many people, these are the clothes they’ll gravitate toward come fall!
