Just by looking at the front row of Longchamp’s spring 2019 fashion show in New York, one could already tell that this brand has a special place in women’s hearts. It was a barrage of prominent women, from supermodels Kate Moss and Kendall Jenner to established actresses Priyanka Chopra and the legendary Isabelle Huppert. Women of all ages and eras were there to see what creative director Sophie Delafontaine would offer this season and it’s safe to say she did not disappoint. Down the runway came celebratory looks of a bygone rock era that put women in the fashion forefront. Known as the “Rock Chick” look, mini-dresses were worn with gladiator strappy heels, animal and graphic prints were on overload, not to mention a whole lot of fringe. But beyond the stereotypical bohemian aesthetic was the souls of free and independent women whose clothes spoke for themselves. Now, it’s time to see which of the front row superstars will have first dibs on these rocking pieces!
