Loewe Spring Summer 2019 Ready-to-Wear Collection

JW Anderson may have just given what is arguably his most sophisticated collection for Loewe spring 2019. Inspired by the elegant world of art galleries and the distinguished individuals that visit them, Anderson played with all sorts of materials and fabrications to create 52 stunning looks, each more refined than the next. Elegance is often alluded to as safe and boring designs, but not with this collection. Here, women were dressed in sharply tailored ensembles, graphic prints, freeform silhouettes, and a whole lot of feathers. Some of the most eye-catching exits were the quilted patchwork dresses and the slinky silks that would work for both day and night. The sudden bursts of colors and the mixing and matching of varying hues also made for a more exciting impact on the runway. It’ll be hard to top this season, but as what was proven by this show, JW Anderson is still a contemporary genius to look forward to every fashion month.
