L’Eau des Hesperides by Diptyque Review
Description
Diptyque has plenty enough fragrances to choose from, which makes it harder for L’Eau des Hesperides to stand out. It has its merits: the dry, biting opening is invigorating, and the green notes help this feel fresher. The scent still feels nice on colder weather for us as it does have quite a presence. However, the notes smell artificial, and that’s hard to ignore. L’Eau des Hesperides has an average lasting power.

We find the opening of orange dry but wonderful
Makes its presence known without filling the room entirely
The musky base feels nice, although won’t mask the synthetic vibe
Average sillage and longevity

Hard to ignore the artificial smell for us

Diptyque created L’Eau des Hesperides for both men and women. Released in 2018, the fragrance was signed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. The top notes for the scent include mandarin orange, petitgrain, bitter orange, lemon, rosemary, caraway, pepper and grass, while the middle notes are mint and flowers. The base include immortelle, cedar and musk.
