Description
It is surprising that Knize Ten isn’t the old man scent that we would imagine it would be, even with a niche accord taking the lead from the rest. In fact, to us, the leather is strangely refreshing, especially when paired with amber and vanilla. We had to get past an opening that does not skimp on projection, but once it settles, it reveals an animalic sense to it. That’s not for everyone, we’d presume, but for those who like it, it comes with a reasonable wear time.

Knize Ten is a scent from the old world, having been launched in the 1920s, but it refuses to be relegated to an uninteresting fragrance from the era. It was created for the house Knize by perfumer Vincent Roubert, who had the sense to blend leather with orange, bergamot, petitgrain rosemary, cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, iris, clove rose and cinnamon. The bottle it comes in was designed by architect Adolf Loos. It is currently available in 30 and 125 ml.
