It may just be in its second season but Casablanca is slowly but surely becoming a brand to watch out for. In his Fall 2019 show, designer Charaf Tajer focused on the dreamy and luxurious allure of the famous city the brand was named after, putting forth an array of fluid looks that were sensual yet strong. The printed silk shirt painted with a stunning image of a starry Moroccan night sky that opened the show was both novel yet refined at the same time. The midnight blue pajama-esque suit was also incredibly sophisticated, both with its soft tailoring and shimmering silk finish. Perhaps the most attractive part about the line was that it was all wearable and relaxed, while still elegant. A beautiful dark ocean-green coat and a monochrome look of bubblegum pink were serious streetwear contenders, yet would have looked perfect for a luxurious Mediterranean getaway as well. And while most of the ensembles were too summery for a fall collection, there’s no denying that Tajer presented one of the most desirable wardrobes of the season! Things are looking bright for this new label!
