Newly-appointed creative director Sean Lehnhardt-Moore took Belstaff back to their roots for Fall 2019. In a small and intimate presentation, Lehnhardt-Moore gushed that he was a Belstaff fan himself, having collected many of the label’s pieces for his own vintage collection. A former employee of Donna Karan and Calvin Klein, he put his own classic sportswear spin on the British brand‘s signature pieces. The leather biker jacket, for example, is sleeker and more precise in shape and form. Other iterations of the staple had softness and lightness by way of the buttery leather they were made of. Knits were also big this season, appearing in flattering logo-ed sweaters and old-school wooly jumpers, as well as floaty ponchos and capes. It’s through these pieces that one can get a sense of where Lehnhardt-Moore is planning to take the brand—to luxurious heights!
