Simple doesn’t always have to mean snoozefest, especially if they’re given the right attitude. Take A.L.C.’s Fall 2019 line as a prime example. At first glance, it’s easy to dismiss it as a useless array of elevated basics, but upon further inspection, you’ll see just how magnificent this collection truly is. Designer Andrea Lieberman knows that women nowadays prefer pragmatism than posh prettiness, but also understands that both need not be mutually exclusive. Case in point: a chic zebra-print dress can be off-set by varying tones of white and off-white to create better-looking dimensions. A double-breasted pantsuit can flare by the hem to induce a better and shapelier form. And what’s stopping an urban sophisticate to go about town in an attention-grabbing metallic trench coat? Nothing! This latest A.L.C. collection may seem a tad too minimal for most, but all in all, it’s a heavenly and chic offering that several women will have no problem buying into come fall!
