In the past, Vince was only about different shades of black, white, and gray, They rarely ventured off beyond these neutrals for their practical workwear pieces. But since the brand recently reinvented itself, with the help of creative director Caroline Belhumeur and brand director Tomoko Ogura, their palette has noticeably become more colorful. Their pre-fall 2019 collection stands testament to such change. Suddenly, their opening look of a sundress with a matching-hued shirt was in peony yellow. A finely-cut pair of trousers stood out with its burst of sunrise orange. And a romantic blouson was in the most tender of pale blue shades. Suddenly, the practicality looked posher and everything seemed utterly luxurious. It’s only been a couple of seasons since Vince revealed its new style, but if both collections were any indication of things to come, it’s clear they’re in a right direction!
