It takes a lot to redefine a brand, but when they do, oftentimes it’s a magical revelation. The label ‘Vince‘ was always one for practical workwear. They used to offer well-designed basics that were comfortable and high-quality but wasn’t all that exciting fashion-wise. For spring 2019, they changed it up a bit. The clothes this season are now more desirable and luxurious, thanks to the brand’s new creative director Caroline Belhumeur and brand director Tomoko Ogura. These two working women understand that those who shell out thousands of bucks for a work outfit are going to want them to look covetable and rich. And did they ever! Pleated silk skirts, skin-tight cashmere pieces, tailored outerwear, and many more made up this salivating offering. It was clear that practicality was no longer their only characteristic, and in a few seasons, the fashion crowd might be talking about Vince a lot more than they used to.
