Victoria Beckham is continuing her highly-successful pragmatic chic narrative from Spring 2019 show in London to her Pre-Fall 2019 collection presentation, which she’s brought back to New York. This season, however, there’s less layering involved, giving women pieces that are just as distinct when worn solo. Arguably, this offering is more sensual with its “bare essentials” sensibility, especially with the return of her lace-trimmed camisole that stole the spotlight on her last London show. But instead of being a separate item worn over layers upon layers of tailored pieces, the lace was present on the outside instead, courtesy of a pinstriped jumpsuit. There was also a lot of dresses in this mix as well, harkening back to her cocktail origins when she started over a decade ago in the same fashion capital. The fashionable future of Victoria Beckham seems brighter than ever, which may have given her the confidence to go back to her roots for this season.
