Palissandre d’Or by Aedes de Venustas Review
Description
Palissandre d'Or makes no attempt to mask its presence, but it is not overwhelming either. It is just right, lingering on the skin for us to return to in case we are seeking some retreat from dull smells. It is spicy initially, and then becomes creamy, sweet and smooth courtesy of the woods. This is not your usual rosewood fragrance, and honestly it does not feel realistic, but the beautiful blend is enticing anyway. The fragrance is great for all seasons and comes with good staying power.

Palisandre d’Or may be in a familiar flacon if you’ve seen or sprayed Aedes de Venustas scents before, but it offers something different by focusing on the Indian rosewood. Perfumer Alberto Morillas enriches the accord by adding on pink pepper, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, patchouli extract, cedar, and ambroxan. It is available as an eau de parfum in 100 ml bottles and with refills. It was released initially in 2015.
