Noir Anthracite by Tom Ford Review
We think that Noir Anthracite is everything you would expect from a Tom Ford scent, and would easily impress fans of the brand’s fragrances. It is dark as the name would imply, but is also spicy, dry and woodsy. The impression from start to drydown will be the same, as with all other linear Tom Ford fragrances, although the flanker ends to become more intimate and toned down. This one best performs during chillier weather, during which you could expect it to last on the skin almost the whole day.
Dry, smoky and very masculine
Bergamot complements, softens the darkness of Noir Anthracite
We think that this performs best in colder temperatures
Closer to the skin compared to other Tom Ford scents but possesses impressive wear time
Drydown does not sustain the intensity of earlier phases
Noir Anthracite would fit right in with fragrances from thirty, forty years ago, but would nevertheless deliver something new and a little more unusual for today’s noses. Created by Honorine Blanc for Tom Ford, Noir Anthracite is a 2017 addition to the brand’s roster of linear yet impressive scents. Decidedly masculine, the flanker plays with notes of sichuan pepper, bergamot, ginger, galbanum, spices, jasmine, sandalwood, ebony, birch, cedar, patchouli and leather.
