Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Blush Stick Review
Product Description
Unlike powder blushes, creamier formulas can be a huge hit-or-miss. Sometimes, you end up with fantastic products, like Glossier’s Cloud Paint blushes. But sometimes, you get products like Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Blush Stick. On a positive note, it does sit quite will on the skin if you manage to blend it in. But that’s a huge “if.” Once applied, for some reason, this blush stick becomes difficult to blend, forcing the wearer to really drag it around just to make sure they don’t look like a clown, and that’s not great for the rest of the makeup you’re wearing. Also, if applied to skin with any sort of imperfection—fine lines, wrinkles, et cetera—this product will cling to those worst spots, accentuating them. And on top of these things, the product doesn’t even stay on for a particularly long amount of time. All around, this product has too many issues to become a reliable addition to one’s makeup kit.

Creamy blush formulas can be intimidating because you never know if you’re going to get a hit or a miss. Unfortunately, Lancôme‘s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Blush Stick falls on the latter end of things. Already limited by its teensy shade range, the product is also dragged down by a whole host of issues that plague the formula, particularly being hard to blend, and settling into and clinging onto imperfections in the skin, and generally making wearing just a little bit harder than it has to be.
SUITABLE FOR: All skin types, preferably with less imperfections.
