Although lightness is usually dainty and delicate, it can also be mature and seductive. This was what Ryan Holliday-Stevens and Laura Taylor wanted to convey with Solace London Pre-Fall 2019 Collection. While their designs are usually show-stopping yet simple—which have caught the eyes of stars like Kristen Bell, Chrissy Teigen, Lily Collins, and more—they injected an indelible sense of ease this season that’s approachable yet still sensual. Most of their silhouettes here were floaty and billowy—rather different from their usual array of sleek and form-fitting numbers. These were pieces that, while they would still make an impact on the red carpet, are likely to be more show-stopping on the dance floor. Python was even used to promote a sexy and confident tinge of glamour but was done tastefully. Still, it’s highly likely that the pieces people will see on celebrities will be the slick bodycon dresses, especially the crimson halter-necklined column gown with the python waist belt. It has the right amount of sex appeal and sophistication to enchant any audience!
