Adeam Pre-Fall 2019 Collection looks so light, fun, and fresh that one wouldn’t notice that it’s a ‘sort of greatest hits’ offering. These looks exemplify what designer Hanako Maeda has always wanted to offer women—quality clothing that’s beautiful, modern, and effortless. Most of her stylish signatures were all there: a play on masculine and feminine tropes, “kawaii”-style, and soft tailoring. Perhaps the most fascinating part about this line is the equal mix of classic sophistication with youthful vibrancy each and every look evokes. Take the first ensemble, for instance, which is a skirt-suit of a slightly oversized blazer and a pleated skirt. Shape-wise, this is an old-school and mature silhouette, but the gathering and flounces at the waist and the floaty pleated skirt adds a girlishness that’s very kawaii. These clothes are bound to tickle the fancy of young and young-at-heart women out there!
