Very few voices in fashion can be distinguished as true feminists, but one of them is undeniably Diane Von Furstenberg. In the mid-1970s, she offered working women a garment that they can easily slip into, which has since become one of the many stylish uniforms of the modern female sex—the wrap dress. It’s no surprise, then, that at this time of women’s empowerment, the legendary designer decided to play on this signature for her Pre-Fall 2019 collection. True to her famous style, Furstenberg offered a 21st Century spin to her iconic dress, cutting them in unique geometric shapes and having them in vividly bright colors and prints. Aside from this, she also offers a stunning array of freeform dresses and seductive slips—trendy pieces nowadays—that will likely attract a younger consumer audience as well as the power-women that have loved her clothes for decades now. Empowerment comes in many shapes in forms, and sometimes, according to Diane Von Furstenberg, it comes in a beautiful wrap dress as well.
