A*Men Pure Leather is but one of the four fragrances released under Mugler’s Les Parfums de Cuir collection and during the brand’s celebration of its 20th anniversary. An important part of its design is supposedly aging the A*Men that started it all inside leather tanks. Besides that, it has been blended with lavender, bergamot, coriander, peppermint, patchouli, atlas cedar, musk, tonka bean, styrax and coffee. Those familiar with the original’s packaging will instantly make the connection with that of the Pure Leather’s, which was made available initially in 100 ml.
A*Men Pure Leather by Mugler Review
A*Men Pure Leather differentiates itself from other Mugler scents released at the same time with its main accord, but does not do a very good job in making it distinct from the original A*Men. Save for the tar and then the leather, the original and the flanker are almost similar, which to us would render the latter an unnecessary buy if you are still in possession of A*Men. If you can set that aside as well as the occasional sharpness as it stays on you, then we think that you can appreciate it for the lovely leather and its above average performance.
We find the leather note to be of decent quality which complements the other accords beautifully
Very masculine scent
Good sillage and longevity
Is the closest to the original in scent; not distinct
Not for everyone
Can come off as sharp at times
